This was Kate Middleton‘s most difficult year and tomorrow, January 9th, will be her 43rd birthday. Kate usually celebrates her birthdays with Prince William and their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall. But, for this occasion, William has decided to celebrate the princess as a queen.
Kate Middleton’s birthday
In 2020, she welcomed a few friends for a quiet weekend in the Norfolk countryside. In 2021, she celebrated with a tender tea party organized by little George, Charlotte, and Louis. In 2022, she indulged in something more elegant and posed for three portraits taken by the renowned photographer Paolo Roversi. We can tell Kate has always celebrated with small family gatherings.
This year though the princess will return to Windsor and celebrate her birthday at the Welsh family home, Adelaide Cottage. This is the first birthday after the announcement of the Princess’s recovery from cancer. As commented by royal expert Jennie Bond on OK!, this is «the beginning of a new and hopefully happier year, and the end of a year that has been brutal for the entire family».
According to royal family experts, William intends to pamper Kate on her birthday. Breakfasts in bed, baths with scented oils and candles, and undoubtedly more than one gift are expected.
All in the discreet and intimate style that has always characterized Kate. What is uncertain is whether, after the controversies related to the photo released on Mother’s Day, Buckingham Palace will choose to release a new portrait of the Princess on her birthday. It is indeed a tradition for the royal family’s social accounts to share a birthday photo in honor of Kate. Last year, King Charles and Camilla surprised everyone by sharing a new and splendid shot of the princess from the day of the coronation.
