Kate Middleton spent much of last year battling an unspecified form of cancer. The Princess confirmed earlier this week that her cancer is in “remission.”

Now, Kate is making a surprising admission about her grueling chemotherapy treatments.

Kate Discusses Chemotherapy

Kate, 43, visited the Royal Marsden Hospital on Tuesday morning. This facility means a lot to Kate, as it’s where she received her own cancer treatments.

As she walked into the hospital, Kate was heard saying, “Coming in the front entrance here, having made so many quiet, private visits, actually it’s quite nice.”

Kate then sat down to talk to a woman who was receiving cancer treatment.

“When did you first start treatment? Oh, today? How are you finding it?” the wife of Prince William said.

Kate admitted to the woman that she “got so attached” to her chemotherapy port during her own cancer treatment.

“I got so attached to it,” Kate recalled. She even joked that she hesitated when she was told, “You can have it taken out.”

Kate Hugs Fans – Talks To Staffers

Kate went on to hug a well-wisher, telling the fan, “I wanted to come and show my support for the amazing work that’s going on here and for those who are going through treatment and having such a hard time. Are you OK? There is light at the end of that tunnel. Very nice to meet you and best of luck. You are in the best of hands.”

Kate then talked to hospital staffers.

“You think treatment’s finished, crack on with that… daily tasks, but that’s still like a real challenge. And talking… the words totally disappear… understanding that as a patient, yes there are side effects around treatment, but actually there are more long-term side effects,” she told them.

Kate was seen telling one patient, “The resilience you need to get through, first of all, a small taste of what you’ve gone through…. It’s to keep coming back….to be as positive as you are. The treatments are really so different and so varied, it impacts families differently.”

Kate’s Cancer Is In ‘Remission’

Kate took to social media earlier this week to thank The Royal Marsden for helping her defeat cancer.

“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,” Kate wrote. “My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”

“In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer,” she continued. “It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery.”

Kate Is ‘Cancer Free’

Kate announced in March of last year that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Though she never revealed what specific type of cancer that she had, Kate confirmed that she was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

In September, Kate revealed in a video posted to social media that she was “cancer free.”

“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus,” Kate said at the time. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

Kate inspired millions of people all over the world with the quiet strength that she brought to her cancer battle. Please join us in saying a prayer for Kate’s good health in the months and years to come!
