Kate Middleton has been supported Chelsy Davy’s business as her split from Prince Harry remains “amicable”. During the Royal Family Christmas Day appearance at Sandringham, Kate’s only daughter Princess Charlotte sported a piece of jewellery which set tongues wagging.
Nine-year-old Charlotte was seen sporting a £1,500 necklace reportedly designed by Prince Harry’s former girlfriend Chelsy Davy. The necklace, which has since sold out amid huge interest, caused a stir among Royal Family fans after Charlotte stepped out in it.
Tobias Kormind, managing director of 77 Diamonds in Mayfair, told GB News that the piece was “quite an exciting present for any young girl – royal or not.” “This is most likely a present from the family, and very possibly from her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales,” royal insider and expert Kormind told GB News.
“It has been a difficult year for the family, and a lovely piece of jewellery definitely brings good cheer!” he added. If you’re after something similar now the Davy necklace has sold-out, a similar piece by Maya Brenner is hugely alike and just as subtle, according to experts.
It’s available in yellow gold, rose gold and white gold, but has a price tag of £460 – so it’s not a cheap expense. “As Chelsy Davy was in attendance at the Sussexes’ 2018 wedding, it seems Chelsy and Harry’s separation was amicable,” noted Kormind.
“I’m sure, Kate, like many mothers, searched for the perfect present for Charlotte and it must have been a welcome consideration to support her friend’s business in the process too,” he said during his discussion with GB News this week.
“With the prices of coloured gemstones such as rubies on the rise, it is definitely the right way to go when it comes to investment pieces,” he added to the channel.
