It’s not often that the public sees photos of Kate Middleton while she’s off duty, but unverified celeb gossip Instagram DeuxMoi recently obtained candid shots of Kate shopping for glasses. The Princess of Wales was dressed sensibly for the winter weather, pairing a dark wrap coat with a matching gingham scarf. She appeared to be carrying a Smythson crossbody bag and wore her brown hair down in loose curls. See photos here.
In February 2022, paparazzi similarly photographed Kate while she was shopping at the Peter Jones department store. Back then, she also chose a comfy look, wearing a Ralph Lauren sweater, Massimo Dutti coat, and Blundstone boots.
Kate was last seen out on January 14 during her visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital. She wore a burgundy Kiltane turtleneck with an Edeline Lee skirt and a Blazé Milano tartan coat.
The engagement had personal meaning to the princess, as she had privately received her cancer treatment there in 2024. She revealed shortly after the event that her cancer was in remission.
She wrote on Instagram:
I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year.
My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.
We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.
In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.
It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
