The former “SNL” star makes a surprise appearance in Gordon Ramsay’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial for his kitchenware brand HexClad, and we hear his ad-libbing had the crew cracking up.
The 60-second spot, “Unidentified Frying Object,” features Ramsay and the comic in an intergalactic kitchen preparing food for aliens.
In the ad, Ramsay is commissioned to prepare a meal for “foodie” aliens with “alien cooking technology,” which are HexClad pans.
Davidson appears as an alien ambassador to the surprise of the puzzled chef, who asks, “You’re an alien?” “All famous people are aliens,” Davidson replies. But Ramsay fires back: “I’m not!”

“I mean, like, really famous people,” Davidson wisecracks.
Davidson brought his own jokes off-camera too, we hear.
A production insider told Page Six the comedian arrived to the set early, “shook hands and was a total pro! He had the crew cracking up the whole time,” they said.
“The relationship with Pete and Gordon was great from the start, but warmed up even more once we started shooting and Pete cracked some jokes,” they added.
They filmed the commercial in LA and we’re told the duo had dozens of outtakes. “It seemed like [Pete] was gauging how playful he could get with Gordon,” our insider said.
It seems to have paid off.
