Beyoncé’s mom reacts to rumor singer was paid $10M to appear at Kamala Harris rally

Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, is her protector.

The 70-year-old matriarch took to Instagram on Saturday to shut down a rumor claiming the “Break My Soul” hitmaker was paid $10 million to appear at Kamala Harris’ Houston rally in October.

“So this has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down. It’s called False Information,” Knowles captioned a screenshot of a blurred-out post originally shared on Candace Owens’ podcast account.

“Sadly other platforms with a lack of integrity still have it up.”

“The lie is that Beyonce was paid 10 million dollars to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris,” the proud mom continued.

“When In Fact : Beyonce did not receive a penny for speaking at a Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harrris’s [sic] Rally in Houston.”

Knowles further claimed the Grammy-winning pop sensation, 43, entirely foot the bill to attend the rally.

The 70-year-old then claimed that the singer, pictured here at the rally, paid for her own expenses for the event, including “total glam.” Michael Gonzalez/Shutterstock
“They are not only lying and disrespecting Beyonce’s name but they are trying to further discredit the power of our vice president!” Knowles added. beyonce/Instagram

“In fact she actually paid for her own flights for her and her team, and total Glam,” Knowles added of her daughter.

Knowles claimed the rumor was not only harmful to Beyoncé, but also to Harris — who lost the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump.

“They are not only lying and disrespecting Beyonce’s name but they are trying to further discredit the power of our vice president!” she wrote.

“When does [sic] the lies and rumors stop? Of course you won’t see this in the news !!!!!”

“Let em know, Ms Tina! We all performed/appeared for free because we care about our nation’s future,” John Legend commented on the post.

John Legend — who performed at Harris’ rally in Philadelphia — shared his support for Knowles’ message in the comments.

“Let em know, Ms Tina! We all performed/appeared for free because we care about our nation’s future,” the “All of Me” singer, 45, wrote.
