Travis Kelce already knew he wanted to throw the larger-than-life party he planned for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, long before the Eras Tour ended.
“Travis had this surprise party planned for a while now and it was something he knew he wanted to do,” an insider exclusively reveals to Page Six.
“Travis wanted to throw Taylor a surprise party because she deserved a huge celebration after all the hard work she’s put in.”
The source further tells us that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, is “so proud of her” and “thankful he was able to pull it off without a hitch.”
After almost two years on the road, Swift wrapped up the record-breaking Eras Tour in Vancouver on Dec. 8. The tour took her through five continents and grossed over $2 billion in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing tour in history.
After an intimate celebration between the two for her 35th birthday on Dec. 13, Kelce surprised Swift with a wrap party in Kansas City, Mo. with all of their friends and family.
The pop superstar’s friend Ashley Avignone revealed Thursday that “[Swift] thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included 🥳.”
A source previously told Page Six that Swift, 35, “was blown away and couldn’t believe [Kelce] went out of his way to throw a surprise party for her.”
They added, “Taylor couldn’t have been more shocked when she saw everyone standing there. It really meant so much to her.”
For the big shindig, Kelce brought the Eras Tour back to Missouri as he asked guests to channel their favorite Taylor Swift era, gave out friendship bracelets and brought props for attendees to use.
Some of those in attendance included Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, Avignone and even Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, who wore a head-to-toe maroon look for the soirée.
