Travis Kelce “went out of his way” to make sure Taylor Swift’s 35th birthday was “meaningful,” a source exclusively tells Page Six.
We’re told the Kansas City Chiefs tight end pulled out all the stops for his girlfriend’s milestone occasion last Friday night.
“Travis had jewelry engraved especially for Taylor, he gave her countless roses and showered her in gifts,” the insider says of the NFL star, also 35. “He hired a private chef and bartender to cook and make cocktails for them. He had his gifts delivered beforehand so they would be a surprise.”
The source notes that everything was “decorated beautifully” with “flowers everywhere.”
“Travis went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect,” the insider explains. “He wanted to have an intimate party with Taylor for her birthday instead of throwing a huge gathering with tons of people.”
According to the insider, the Super Bowl champion felt like a smaller bash would be “more meaningful and memorable” for Swift — and that it would give them an opportunity to connect.
“He thought the intimate setting would be preferable rather than be surrounded by a lot of people where Taylor would be mingling with everybody and they wouldn’t have much of a chance to have one-on-one time,” the source tells us.
“Taylor and Travis are always surrounded by a ton of people so it was really important that this celebration be different for Taylor. Travis couldn’t take his eyes off Taylor and he thought she looked exquisite. This was a night they’ll always remember and it went off without a hitch.”
Reps for Swift and Kelce did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
As Page Six previously reported, the “Grotesquerie” actor always wanted to make Swift’s “milestone birthday” an “extra special” one.
“Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises,” an insider told us last week.
Our source said the football star had “been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor” for quite a while.
