Jennifer Garner “encouraged” ex-husband Ben Affleck to work on his marriage with Jennifer Lopez before the pair headed for divorce, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“When things started getting rocky between Ben and Jennifer [Lopez], Jen was very supportive of their relationship and encouraged Ben to work on their marriage.”
The “13 Going on 30” actress, 52, “had even become friendly with Jennifer and they were communicating on a regular basis.”

10 However, Page Six learns that Garner “hasn’t been in touch” with Lopez, 55, recently, though she “has no problem with Jennifer.”
“At the end of the day, she just wants Ben to be happy,” our source explains.
A rep for Garner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The former couple — who called it quits on their 10-year marriage in 2015 — share three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

10 Despite Garner’s efforts, Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony, which they held after eloping in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022.
As we previously reported, Garner and Affleck reunited on Thanksgiving Day as they partnered up with the Midnight Mission to help feed 2,000 homeless and near-homeless people before feasting together at Garner’s Brentwood, Calif., home with their three kids.
A source told Page Six at the time that the Oscar winner felt “blessed” to surround himself with Garner and their children on Thanksgiving following his separation from Lopez.
