Prince William and Kate Middleton will be no-shows at the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards.
Kensington Palace confirmed the Prince and Princess of Wales are not attending the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 16.
William, who has been president of BAFTA since 2010, will appear in a video package as part of the awards and will visit the London Screen Academy on Wednesday, The Post can confirm.

Kate Mansey, royal editor for the Times UK, claimed on X that the couple aren’t attending the event because it takes place during their children’s school break.
“It falls on the first weekend of the half-term school holidays,” Mansey tweeted.

Mansey also said that William, 42, “will focus his efforts on highlighting the next generation of film talent” instead of going to the BAFTAs.
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

William and Middleton, 43, who have kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, are regulars at the BAFTAs.
But William went alone last year while his wife was recovering from abdominal surgery.
At the time, Middleton hadn’t yet revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing chemo, the mom of three announced last month that she’s in remission.

William walked that BAFTAs red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall and rubbed elbows with Hollywood royalty, including Bradley Cooper, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Cate Blanchett and Emma Stone.
Middleton did go with William to the BAFTAs in 2023, where the princess wore a stunning white one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress, while the future king sported a black tuxedo with a velvet jacket

Before that, the couple hadn’t attended the awards show since 2020.
They missed the 2021 BAFTAs due to the death of Prince Philip, who passed away just one day before the scheduled ceremony at age 99. In 2022, they were unable to attend due to “diary constraints,” a rep told Variety at the time.

The 2025 BAFTAs are being hosted by David Tennant for the second year in a row.
“Conclave” is the most-nominated film, with 12 nods. “Emilia Pérez,” “The Brutalist,” “Anora,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Wicked” and “A Complete Unknown” are also up for numerous awards.
