Kate Middleton and Prince William are hoping to avoid “future controversies” by distancing themselves from Meghan Markle, according to reports.
The Duchess of Sussex is set to release her brand new Netflix show in March, focusing on sharing cooking and lifestyle tips with fans. However, the series has already drawn criticism and some believe the show could even be axed before it airs.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have also had several explosive accusations levied at them by ex-employees, with some branding the former Suits star “difficult.” Now, royal expert Hilary Fordwich claimed Kate and William are “glad to retain a distance from Meghan” because of the scandals.
“Stability and service are paramount to the couple as they anticipate their lives being dedicated to both. There isn’t anything furthering either of those values in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix,” the expert said.
Speaking to Fox News, Fordwich claimed Kate and William are choosing to ignore Meghan’s upcoming Netflix show, which is titled With Love, Meghan. Instead, the Prince and Princess of Wales are focusing on their family.
Kate and William have been prioritizing their loved ones ever since the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer last year. She is now in remission, having completed her chemotherapy treatment in September.
Fordwich suggested they will also be supporting King Charles, who is still undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. “For the royal family, this further reinforces Prince William’s instincts to retain the distance from the couple,” the royal commentator suggested.
Harry and Meghan’s latest controversy comes from a bombshell Vanity Fair report. The publication spoke to a former Spotify employee who worked with Meghan on her Archetypes podcast.
They alleged many former staff members needed “long-term therapy” following their experiences of dealing with the former actress. The source described Meghan as “really, really, really awful” and claimed it was “painful” to work with her.
“She’s constantly playing checkers – I’m not even going to say chess – but she’s just very aware of where everybody is on her board. And when you are not in, you are to be thrown to the wolves at any given moment,” they alleged.
The reports also suggested Meghan had thought about the possibility of writing a post-divorce book, should she ever split from Harry. A source told the publication Meghan’s book meeting did not imply she is actually divorcing Harry.
Instead, they insisted it was simply to see if the publisher would “theoretically be interested.” The publisher reportedly never made an offer.
