Kate Middleton has set her sights on ending the royal family feud, according to a source.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sparked outrage when they criticized a number of royals, including Kate, in their bombshell Netflix docuseries. However, the Princess of Wales is believed to be willing to put the past behind them and wants to reunite with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The source suggested Kate is also keen for Prince William to finally reunite with his brother. Kate’s change in heart is said to have come about following her latest cancer news as she recently announced she is in remission after finishing chemotherapy.
“If Harry and William can sit down together and make some progress, that will make it much easier for the four of them to eventually sit down and break bread,” the source suggested.
The source said Kate is focusing on making “baby steps” to end the feud. Speaking to Closer Magazine, they added, “This wall of silence can only go on for so long, and after everything she went through last year, Kate’s keenly aware of how precious life is.”
Indeed, Kate is believed to be focusing on her family after completing her cancer treatment. The source continued, “She doesn’t want to hang on to bad blood, and she doesn’t want William walking around with that weight on his shoulders either.”
The source suggested Kate has become “desperate” for her husband and brother-in-law to reconnect. She thinks this is the only way the four of them “can make peace,” according to the source.
The comments come after another source suggested Kate is considering traveling to America to meet with Harry. They told the publication she would see it “as a rare chance to meet up with Harry and feels like it would be a great step towards making peace.”
They continued, “One of Kate’s top goals for 2025 is to find a way to mend fences between William and Harry so that is front and center on her mind whenever there’s talk about going to America.”
