Kate Middleton could be the British Royal Family‘s last hope to save their reputation following a series of scandals throughout the 2010s, as the Princess of Wales is set to become the face of the monarchy and is “stronger than ever”.
The notable scandal and embarrassment for the household was Prince Andrew‘s shocking interview with the BBC; when he failed to shut down links to the child molesting and trafficking Jeffrey Epstein, as well as failing to convince people of his connection to Virginia Giuffre.
Then more drama followed with the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saga, hitting out at the British press and then quitting as senior members in 2020. They then staged the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, followed by the Duke of Sussex’s expose memoir, Spare, in 2023.
Even Queen Elizabeth II was not spared after her lady-in-waiting for six decades, Lady Susan Hussey, quit over claims she repeatedly and persistently asked a black charity boss where she was from.
Now the family views its future queen (by marriage) as the solution due to how popular and shame-free the 43-year-old Middleton is, according to an insider.
“Now that she’s back on her feet, arguably better and stronger than ever,” a source told In Touch. “The royals have made the strategic choice to make Kate the face of the family for the foreseeable future.
“Charles, William and even Camilla know Kate is their last chance to save the monarchy. She’s almost universally beloved and has a lot of ideas for positive change. She’s ready to take charge.”
Middleton spent the vast majority of 2024 battling cancer and had a couple of hiccups when she tried to keep her diagnosis secret, such as the infamous Easter photoshop moment, before she told the world the truth.
She announced she completed her chemotherapy in September 2023, before the mother-of-three announced in January that she is finally in remission and can 100% return to her public duties.
First on the agenda for the woman charged with saving the family’s face is to play down the increase in the sovereign grant by 50%, during a time when people are struggling to pay bills as the United Kingdom‘s government increases taxes.
Whilst King Charles III will now make $165 million for the year, the grounded Princess of Wales is calling for the family “to tighten their belts and be more humble”, the source added to In Touch.
