The Princess of Wales reportedly struggles when the focus during engagements is on her fashion choices rather than her charitable endeavours. Since tying the knot with Prince William in April 2011, Kensington Palace has regularly disclosed details of Kate’s outfits to select press members.
However, this practice will soon cease as her recent health battle has shifted her perspective and she no longer desires the limelight on her wardrobe, it has been claimed. It is believed that Kensington Palace may continue to share outfit details for significant events but not for other Royal duties.
A palace insider has suggested that the mother-of-three wishes to keep the attention on the “issues, people, and causes she is spotlighting”, rather than her attire. She understands there will always be public interest in her fashion choices.

“There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing,” a palace source revealed to The Times. “There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that.”
“But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it’s about the substance,” reports the Express.
A close friend of the princess shared that Kate comprehends the fascination with her outfits if she is attending high-profile events like film premieres or the Trooping of the Colour.
However, it was “enormously difficult” for Kate to have the spotlight on her outfits rather than her work, especially when she first started her Royal duties. A source told the publication: “[She] was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing.”
No outfit details were released during her two engagements in South Wales earlier this week. On Thursday, she paid a visit to Corgi, a family-owned business in Ammanford, near Swansea, known for its handmade socks and knitwear, as well as a children’s hospice.
