Taylor Swift was out and about with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce in New York City over the weekend. On Saturday, the power couple joined celebrity stylist Ashley Avignone for her birthday celebration in The Big Apple as several photos of both Swift and Kelce made their rounds on social media.
One that caught the attention of the fans was a picture of Swift hugging Avignone, who happens to be one of the “Fortnight” singer’s closest friends. The said photo was shared by Avignone via her Instagram. The series of pictures also featured snaps of Avignone’s birthday cake that had a dedication that reads, “Ash is 25 (again).”
Fashion writer Sarah Chapelle examined Swift’s outfit from the event via her Taylor Swift Styled Instagram fan page. The author of the book “Taylor Swift Style: Fashion Through the Eras” paid special attention to the timepiece Swift had on her left wrist.
According to Chapelle, Swift was wearing a Panthère de Cartier watch — a piece that Chapelle noted is new to the former’s growing collection of luxury watches.
Per Cartier’s website, the watch retails for a whopping $32,200. The extravagant timepiece is a medium model (27 mm x 36mm) that features a yellow gold case set with brilliant-cut diamonds.
The quartz watch has a silvered dial with blued-steel sword-shaped hands that add a pop of color. The Panthère de Cartier is considered one of the most distinctive designs from the luxury brand.
According to a recent report by The U.S. Sun, Kelce recently surprised his girlfriend with an even more extravagant watch for her birthday. It was reportedly a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36mm that is worth $60,350.
Chapelle noted that Swift isn’t exactly a watch enthusiast and that wearing timepieces is an “entirely new” category for the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter. Nevertheless, there’s no denying that she has quite a collection already.
