Prince William is on a mission to become the most relatable royal, and the Prince of Wales proved once again that he and his family are just like us. During a visit to the Princes Primary and English Martyrs Catholic Primary Schools in Liverpool on Thursday, Prince William spoke with students and revealed that hilarious response his kids give him after the school day.

When the kids couldn’t remember what they had learned, William revealed that his and Kate Middleton‘s kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, give him a very similar answer when asked about their days.

“I ask my children this every day and they always say absolutely nothing at all,” William joked, per Hello!, about the sentiment that is all too familiar to many parents.

Later in the day, William also stopped by the nonprofit Cycle of Life, where the prince observed others build and maintain bikes and even assisted with inflating a tire. According to the Daily Mail, while explaining the correct way to apply the brakes—“to squeeze both brakes at the same time—putting safety first”—William brought up another quirky things his kids like to do during family bike rides.

“My children quite like pulling just the back brake and sliding along,” he said about their habit to skid past him. “Usually the back wheel will come past you. There is a technique.”

Despite the fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton are next in line for the throne, the parents aim to give their kids the most normal childhood as possible. Around the holidays, for example, former royal butler, Grant Harrold, revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales try to make George, Charlotte, and Louis feel like any other kid on Christmas. Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis and battle has also shifted their approach to balancing royal duties and parenthood.

“Cancer impacts on your perspective, and what you have seen in the decisions they have made over the last year is that family and their children continue to be at the center of their universe,” a source previously told Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English. “Both Their Royal Highnesses have a strong commitment to duty, service, and using their platform for good. But what they are working on is ways they can balance themselves as parents with being the Prince and Princess of Wales.”
