Princess Charlotte was seen holding in her laughter this week after her dad Prince William thrilled fans with a three-word football remark.
During the annual Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham, Prince William was seen greeting well-wishers along with his wife Princess Kate and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
While most royal fans wished the family a Merry Christmas, one fan quipped “Up the Villa” at Prince William, who is known for being an avid Aston Villa fan along with his eldest son Prince George.
The future King replied back “Up the Villa” as he continued the walk back to Sandringham House for Christmas Day lunch.
The comment was met with a smile by Princess Charlotte, who found the interaction and comment highly amusing, along with one of the nearby protection officers.
The moment was caught on camera by one royal fan, delighting those who missed the interaction themselves.
The interaction with fans was one of many made by Prince William on Christmas Day, with the Prince of Wales also urging some fans to keep some chocolate for themselves after his youngest son Prince Louis was seen with armfuls of chocolate gifts.
The young prince, who already had his arms full, went to retrieve more sweet goodies from a royal fan when Prince William stepped in.
He told the fan: “No, no, you can’t give all the chocolates! Definitely not. You’ve got to keep them for yourself as well. Merry Christmas! Have a lovely day!”
The family aren’t expected to take part in any more public events for the rest of the festive season.
