“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” newcomer Jennifer Tilly is very rich, bitch.
Tilly — who was previously married to “The Simpsons” co-developer Sam Simon — said on Tuesday night’s episode of the Bravo reality series that she still receives money from the animated sitcom, which has been airing on Fox since 1989.
After the “friend” of the “RHOBH” cast showed up to a group getaway carrying a $33,000 Louis Vuitton purse in the shape of a cruise ship, she elaborated on her obvious wealth in a subsequent confessional.
“My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who created ‘The Simpsons,’” Tilly — an actress-turned-professional poker player — shared with inquiring producers, explaining that they were married for seven years and together for about 10.
“When we got divorced, I got a piece of ‘The Simpsons’ in the divorce settlement,” she went on, noting that “nobody knew” the program “was gonna go on for trillions of years.”
“So every day — honestly, every day — I’m like, ‘Thank you, Sam,’” she added.
Simon and Tilly, 66, were husband and wife from 1984 to 1991 but remained friends after their split.
According to the Washington Post, (per the Independent), he departed “The Simpsons” in 1993 with a deal in place.
The agreement stated that he would get $20 million to $30 million every year from the show’s licensing fees from merchandise.
