5 David Krumholtz always knew “The Santa Clause” would become a beloved holiday staple.
The 46-year-old actor, who played head elf Bernard in the franchise, told Page Six exclusively that he predicted the 1994 classic’s success while on set.
“I knew in a weird way when I shot that movie,” he shared at the “Red One” premiere Monday. “It was one of the few times in my career, and I was only 16, but I knew on that set that this movie is going to be amazing and huge. I knew it. I was confident about it.”

5 The Christmas flick, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year and spawned two movie sequels and a Disney+ series, starred Tim Allen as a divorced dad who transforms into Santa Claus.
Krumholtz explained to us that the film was destined to be a hit because “it’s so grounded in reality.”
“People forget that part of the movie is about a divorce, a dad dealing with his divorce. It’s a beautiful movie, and I’m really proud of it,” he said.
