A Pittsburgh Steelers fan wearing a T-shirt with an insulting message about Taylor Swift was reportedly thrown out of a bar after their defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
The Chiefs continued their near-flawless regular season with a 29-10 Christmas victory at the Steelers, which improved their record to 15-1 this year.
Before the game at Acrisure Stadium, a number of Pittsburgh fans could be seen wearing T-shirts that took aim at Swift – the high-profile girlfriend of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce.
Despite the pop megastar not being at the game, several home supporters donned shirts which read: ‘Taylor Swift sucks’.
And according to reports on social media, one of the fans in question was later thrown out of a bar just around the corner from the stadium after the game.
It is believed they were ejected from Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar for being ‘drunk and combative’ on the night, having just watched their team suffer a third straight defeat in the NFL.
The game proved a historic one for Swift’s boyfriend Kelce, who set a franchise record for most receiving touchdowns.
Kelce surpassed the Chiefs record held by fellow tight end Tony Gonzalez with 76, with his 77th score also helping clinch the AFC’s No 1 seed in the postseason.
Swift, who has not attended one of Kansas City’s away fixtures so far this season, was clearly left impressed by his latest achievement on the field.
The songstress liked a post from the Chiefs account and one from New Heights, the podcast Travis and brother Jason co-host, giving regards to the massive accomplishment from her beau.
Kelce also had his 1000th career catch in the game, though he remains far behind Gonzalez and former Cowboys star Jason Witten in third place on that all-time list.
Gonzalez has still outpaced him in that category with 1,325 career receptions. Witten is in between the Chiefs legends with 1,228 catches.
Swift’s next chance to see Kelce play live seemingly will not be for a few weeks.
The Chiefs finish the regular season on the road in Denver next Sunday, with Kelce figuring to have limited playing time with the AFC’s top seed already locked up.
Then as the No 1 seed, they have a bye in the Wild Card round, placing the next Kansas City game she could attend on either January 18 or 19, with her man’s team having home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
