Taylor Swift Sent a $4500 Skirt Set to the Teenage Patient Who Called Her Outfit ‘Tea’

It’s Swiftmas once again! Shortly after wrapping up her Eras tour, superstar Taylor Swift surprised patients at a Kansas City children’s hospital with a visit, taking pictures and signing copies of her Eras book. And it seems that she or someone on her team was diligently keeping track of their interactions. A young fan mentioned that she wanted a Dyson AirWrap for Christmas, and a week ago, Swift sent her one, writing, “In case Santa doesn’t come through. Love, Taylor Swift,” in an attached note.

Now, another sweet and heartfelt (and luxe) gift has arrived. Naya Jade, a teenage patient at Children’s Mercy Hospital, adorably called Swift’s outfit “tea” during their visit together. At the time, Swift was wearing a blue and green plaid skirt and button-down set from Miu Miu, which was both Christmas-y and in keeping with her recent trend of wearing so much plaid.

As Naya revealed on TikTok on December 22, Swift made a mental note of the compliment. In the video, Naya opens up packages containing the same outfit, as well as a hand-written card from Swift, which read, “When you asked where I got it, I purposely didn’t tell you because I had a plan 🙂 Picked you up a few things I hope you’ll think are tea. Ha.…Merry Christmas! Love, Taylor ️.”

For some reason, the sound on the TikTok video has been disabled, but you can see Naya is visibly overwhelmed with excitement. As she wrote in the caption, “She is too amazing I’m too blessed…I love you Tay Swizzle you’re literally the Best.”

It’s a lovely gesture and obviously a really nice gift, and a recognizable side of the singer to longtime Taylor Swift fans. Many moons ago, Swift would surprise fans at their events and send them personalized gifts in the mail on a somewhat regular basis. It’s not exactly feasible for her to do that now (adios, secret sessions), but it’s cute to see that she’s still finding ways to spread the Swiftmas cheer.
