“The Voice” winner Sundance Head was shot in the stomach at his ranch in rural Texas on Friday.
The singer, who won Season 11 of the NBC competition series, was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Tyler, Texas, after paramedics were able to get him in stable condition, according to TMZ.
Sundance Head’s agent told the outlet the singer was the person who called 911 after the shooting.

6 According to Sundance Head’s wife Misty, the bullet missed all of his vital organs and was lodged in the fatty area of his stomach.
She’s now asking fans for prayers and heading to the hospital, according to TMZ.
It’s unclear as to how Sundance Head was shot. Though, his agent shared that it’s normal for him to go hunting on his ranch from time to time.

6 On Friday morning, he shared a photo from inside of a tent, telling his Facebook followers that he woke up to “the sound of silence.”
Just hours later, he shared another post celebrating his son Levi’s acceptance into Texas A&M University.
The shooting is being called an accident at this time, per the outlet.
